Tendons are anatomical structures that connect muscles to bones. Thanks to our tendons, muscle contraction is transformed into movement. Tendons are mostly made of collagen fibres and are not very elastic. The constant demand placed on tendons, as well as certain movements can lead to inflammation or even result in a torn tendon.
Methylsulfonylmethane is a direct source of biologically active sulphur compounds. It is well tolerated by the gastrointestinal tract. Sulphur plays a key role in collagen and is essential to the three-dimensional formation of adult fibres.
Boswellia serrata standardized for 30% AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-boswellic acid), Commiphora myrrha standardized for furanodienone, and Curcuma longa standardized for curcuminoids are natural substances that are well known in the practice of phytotherapy.
The molecules in TENDISULFUR® FORTE are some of the most active molecules extracted.
Boswellia and turmeric are prescribed in combination for their beneficial effect on joint function. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen function for healthy cartilage function. Type I and type II collagen fibres make up 95% to 99% of the tendon. They are able to provide resistance in moments of maximum tension in the tendon, which is why their role is of paramount importance for proper functioning. Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate are polysaccharides found in various levels of the body, such as joint cartilage and myotendinous and osteotendinous junctions.
TENDISULFUR® FORTE contains a high dose of Arginine and Lysine, which are amino acid precursors of molecules with a strategic role.
