  • Uriach's revenue growth is partly driven by the acquisitions of the Pascoe and Ineldéa companies completed during 2024
  • By 2025, the leading company in the "Natural Consumer Healthcare" segment (natural self-care) expects to return to double-digit growth of more than 10%.
  • Uriach has recently become a B Corp company, reaffirming its commitment to continue growing in a conscious and responsible way, with a positive impact on people's health and lives, as well as on the planet.

Uriach, a leading company specialising in natural consumer healthcare in Europe, continues its growth trajectory. In 2024, turnover exceeded 476 million euros, representing an increase of 54% compared to the previous year, when the company had reached 310 million euros, while EBITDA exceeded 74 million euros, 69% more than in 2023.

The increase in turnover is largely driven by the effective integration during the year of the acquisitions of Pascoe and Ineldéa, in Germany and France respectively, which are now part of the group. The combined sales of the two companies, leaders in certain market segments such as highly bioavailable vitamin C and natural wellness products for children, exceeded €130 million in 2024.

By 2025, Uriach forecasts growth of more than 10%, both in terms of turnover and profitability.

Recent acquisitions boost business synergies in Europe

As part of its international expansion, Uriach completed the acquisitions of two European companies during 2024: the German company Pascoe, focused on medicines with natural active ingredients and in particular highly bioavailable Vitamin C, and the French company Laboratories Ineldéa, a leader in natural products for the children's segment through its Pediakid brand. In addition, the Portuguese brand Bebegel has been acquired for 2024 in the gastrointestinal segment for the paediatric target.

Ineldéa, Pascoe and the Bebegel brand were incorporated into the European platform that Uriach has built around the natural consumer healthcare business, as complementary brands both geographically and in terms of portfolio, which will enable important commercial synergies between the different countries, thus accelerating organic growth . The acquisition of Pascoe allows Uriach to enter the German and European markets with new brands (Pascorbin), as well as new segments such as high bioavailability Vitamin C. Ineldéa allows Uriach to penetrate the French market and the Benelux region with, among others, the Pediakid brand, a leader in France in natural paediatric products.

Uriach's international expansion began in 2015 and, to date, has led to the completion of nine acquisitions of European companies focused on natural self-care. Thanks to this path of inorganic growth, Uriach now has a direct presence in eleven European countries: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France and Benelux.

This evolution has allowed the company to geographically diversify its activity: from concentrating the vast majority of its operations in Spain in 2015, to having 75% of its activity outside our borders by 2024, while maintaining sustained growth in Spain during the same period. In the words of Oriol Segarra, CEO of Uriach, "In the last 10 years Uriach has followed a clear strategy to become a European leader in our core business, natural consumer healthcare, a segment in which Uriach has been a pioneer and which is currently one of the most trending segments in the human health market. Uriach is currently a benchmark company in our sector in Europe and a focused, but at the same time diversified, portfolio".

Uriach joins prestigious B corp group of companies

The company recently became a B Corp company after passing a rigorous evaluation process of its policies, practices and strategic approach. B Corp companies meet high standards in terms of social and environmental performance, transparency and corporate responsibility, leading a global movement to transform the economy to benefit all people and the planet.

By achieving the B Corp standard, Uriach joins a growing community of companies that are helping to redefine the meaning of business success: success that is measured not only in terms of economic profit, but also in terms of the well-being of people, communities and the planet. Only 280 companies in Spain currently hold this certification.

"At Uriach we have always believed in the power of nature to transform lives. Now we have gone a step further and found in B Corp a reflection of our essence and our aspirations. Our purpose is to have a positive impact on people's lives and the planet by using the power of nature powered by science as the best way to improve people's health. A purpose 100% aligned with the B Corp purpose, of which we are proud to be a part," said Oriol Segarra, CEO of Uriach.

Uriach's transformation in recent years

The last decade has meant a profound transformation for Uriach that has developed around five axes: the professionalisation of corporate governance, the strategic focus of the business towards natural consumer healthcare, accelerated profitable growth to acquire the desired critical mass, internationalisation and the development of a corporate culture and a relationship with the people who work at Uriach that makes it a unique company.

By applying this clear and successful strategy consistently and boldly, Uriach has achieved (almost two years ahead of schedule) the vision it had for 2025: to build the first leading European platform for natural self-care, becoming one of the most relevant companies on the continent in this business. For the coming years, the goal is to consolidate this leadership, building a focused and efficient pan-European group, while continuing to grow at double-digit rates.
